Follow @NealNievesShabazz Muhammad Is Exactly What UCLA And Howland Need
Its safe to say Kevin Love is the greatest Bruin during the Howland era had a great run his one-year at UCLA. PAC 12 player of year took UCLA to the Final Four and is one of the best power forwards in the NBA. The one thing that Love wont be remembered for is being the biggest recruit that Howland ever landed that title goes to Shabazz Muhammad and Muhammad hasn’t scored one point for UCLA yet.
With the UCLA basketball program going to down instead of up, Howland and his staff landing Shabazz Muhammad shows that they can still land big time talent and hopefully get UCLA back to were it was 4 years ago when they landed Love.
Also with the Bruins landing Muhammad against hometown UNLV, powerhouses like Kentucky, Kansas and Duke this also shows that UCLA can still compete with the cream of the crop for elite talent around the country. UCLA was missing this to win a national title you need a little luck and top talent and for the past couple of years on the national level the Bruins didn’t have what the have coming in the 2012 class.
What is UCLA getting from Shabazz Muhammad, what UCLA is getting from Muhammad is somebody that will step right away and become a leader of this team. As a freshman you don’t see that to much, but the way Muhammad goes about his business and conducts himself on the court and off the court he should come in right away and change the perception of the way him as his teammates carry themselves.
Follow @NealNievesC2CRecruiting.Com Experts Pick Where Muhammad and Noel Will Go
So I got the C2CRecruiting band back together to predict where they think Shabazz Muhammad and Nerlens Noel will end up at.
| Shabazz Muhammad | Nerlens Noel | |
| Neal Nieves | UCLA | Syracuse |
| Scott Sommer | UCLA | Kentucky |
| Brenden Padilla | UCLA | Kentucky |
| Josh Capers | UCLA | Kentucky |
| Ralphie Johnson | UCLA | Georgetown |
I have a good feeling that Ralphie might be the only one to get both this predictions correct.
Follow @NealNievesMy Predictions on Muhammad And Noel

Today is the beginning of National signing day for the high school basketball players all around the country. Today is also the day we find out where the two top players in the class of 2012 will spend at least one year at. So just for fun here goes my predictions on Shabazz Muhammad and Nerlens Noel.
Shabazz Muhammad – Muhammad is down to UCLA, Duke and Kentucky. My predication for this one is easy UCLA. The Bruins have been recruiting Muhammad the longest and have done a good job landing other key recruits (Kyle Anderson) to sway Muhammad to Westwood. If the Bruins can land Muhammad and some how get Tony Parker in the fold, along with Jordan Adams the Bruins could have the No.1 class in the country.
Nerlens Noel – Noel is down to Kentucky, Georgetown and Syracuse. This is one is more of an educated guess then anything. I talked to one source last week and he told me Syracuse, then I talked to another one and they said Georgetown. On Noel I’m going to go out on the limb and say he picks the Orangemen.
Muhammad and Noel are both scheduled to make there decisions public this afternoon (4:30 PM PST) on ESPNU.
Follow @NealNievesSam Cassell Jr Opens Up Recruitment
After giving Maryland a pledge early last week its looks like 2012 guard Sam Cassell Jr has re-opened his recruitment and will take some visits.
Rivals.com’s Jerry Meyer tweeted Friday that Cassell will visit South Florida this week and Florida State “some time later.” Meyer said that Cassell is “open” but that “Maryland [is] still the leader.”
