Kicks: “The Nike Galaxy Foams”

Nike has decided to add a quick strike release to their 2012 Foamposite lineup. The “Galaxy” Foam One is slated to release later this month on February 25 (just in time for NBA All-Star weekend) and as you can see from the image below, the colorway is rather unique.

These Foam Ones will feature a glow in the dark sole to go along with the navy/purple-ish upper that resembles a “Galaxy”. Originally, it was thought they would release looking like this:

The brighter colorway you see above was first seen on the feet of Gentry Humphrey, who is the Product Creation Lead for Nike Sportswear. Humphrey is often seen wearing sample versions of shoes months before they drop. At some point Nike apparently switched it up to the darker version, although no word (yet) on why.

There aren’t many photos of the Galaxy Ones floating around but that’s sure to change in the coming weeks. Retail price will be $220 and with the Varsity Red Foams moving as fast as they did, you can bet these will get snatched up quick too.
