Recap: Super 64 and Fab 48 Part 2

Adidas Super 64 Basketball Tournament - Day2

Back at it again part 2  of our live period from Las Vegas, Nevada. Check out some of the players that stood out on day to of the event down below from the Fab 48 and the Adidas Super 64 tournament.

2012 Shabazz Muhammad Dream Vision – The No.1 player in the class of 2012 was back at it again doing what he does best putting the ball in the basket. He showed of a variety of ways to score and leading his team to an undefeated record in pool play. Muhammad came in to this week as the No.1 player and with his play in the first two day no way he is falling anytime soon.

2012 Tyrone Wallace Double Pump Elite  - Wallace by some is being looked at as a combo guard at the next level, me he seems more to fit the mold of point guard. He runs the team well when the ball is in his hands and when he needs to create for his team he can whether its getting to the basket an finishing or finding the open man for the easy basket.

2012 Dream Vision Xavier Johnson – Johnson came into this weekend as person that needed to have a big weekend, and so far he is doing just that. Staying within him self getting to the basket and finishing.

2012 Mike Bryson PHPS - Bryson didn’t play so well in the first game I watched, but the second game he came out and went to work. Continuing his play from the all West camp Bryson showed again that he belongs in the discussion of an elite wing on the west coast. Bryson can handle the ball well, shot it and get the basket and finish.

2012 Sean Smith Florida Rams - A pure point guard that can get to the basket and finish. Smith can’t shot the ball as well as you would like out a lead guard, but his decision making makes up for it. High major point guard at the next level that can be an extension of the head coach on the court.

2014 Shaqquan Aaron SCA - Aaron has moved on from playing with Dream Vision to know playing with SCA. Not playing behind Shabazz, Winston and Johnson is giving Aaron the opportunity to showcase his talents. He showed off his land floater and knock down jump shot. Aaron is still raw and of needs to put on muscle but he the skill set of a high major player.

2013 Chris Walker Florida Rams – Walker played well, does the little things you want on a team but has the game of an elite player. He hustles and is starting to understand how to use his body when he needs to finish at the basket.

2012 Jordan Adams Atlanta Celtics (UCLA Commit) Adams showed off what he does best, putting the ball in the basket. He showed off a jumper that seemed to go in whenever he shot the ball. He also understands that he is not that the most athletic player on the court and doesn’t have blow by speed but uses his body to get the basket and finish. Adams should come into UCLA right away and contribute in some way.

2012 Kaleb Tarczewski New England Playaz - Tarczewski came to play in a matchup with big man Isaiah Austin (Baylor Commit) Tarczewski didn’t back down one bit, taking it Austin every chance he had. He also loves to pass if he has the ball and doesn’t feel like he can make a play instead of forcing Tarczewski is always looking for an open teammate.

News and Notes from the event:

Winston Shepard tells me that he will wipe his list of schools clean and start all over after the recruiting process. Told me “I’m just going to start all over and see whoever wants me and whom I like.”

Rumbles in the gym is that Kentucky is ready to make a move on Kaleb Tarczewski, Calipari sat with Sean Miller (Arizona), Bill Self (Kansas) and Roy Williams (North Carolina).

Arizona not recruiting Shabazz Muhammad, according to everybody I have talked to Sean Miller and staff have backed off Shabazz and will no longer pursue him.
