2013 Paul Watson

In the last leg of the first open evaluation we got the cream of crop tourney, check out the players who stood out down below.

2012 Guard Gabe York (Compton Magic/Orange Lutheran HS) – After taking a couple days off York was back to his old self again knocking down the three ball or taking his defender off the dribble and finishing with ease. For York he always performed well when the spotlight is on and now being committed to Arizona it seems like he is playing with the weight off his shoulder also, look for York to continue to improve come Vegas.

2012 Guard Michael Bryson (PHPS)  - I guess we can call him the sleeper we all waited for. Somebody that would move from a role player type to a player that could make some noise at the next level. Bryson who plays on a team with a couple high major players understands his roll and does it very well. He is an athletic two guard that can also knock down a three ball. After his performance at Cream Of The Crop look for Bryson to be followed by some high majors in Vegas next week.

2012 forward Ben Carter (Las Vegas Lakers/ Bishop Gorman)  - Playing extremely well right now, with him along side Rosco Allen you can tell that this is Carters team. Even though it’s his team he still plays unselfish and is always making the right basketball play. Word is that Carter might be staying home and playing for UNLV.

2012 Guard Kyi Thomas (PHPS/Sheldon HS) – Thomas can flat out shot the ball on a team that is stacked with high major players Thomas still doesn’t try to do too much or take bad shots. He still needs to work on his ball handling skills, if he adds that along with his shooting ability Thomas will be a high major player at the next level.

2013 forward Paul Watson (Compton Magic) - Watson is bouncy, and goes hard every time. His body is still not fully developed yet if it does mature some more (which I think will happen) he can turn into an athletic 4 man. If not Watson can still be a 3 with his body now and play at the next level and be successful. Watson is one to watch that can easily be a top 50 player come next summer.
