6’11 Andre Drummond has offers from UCONN, Duke, Georgetown, Louisville, UNC, and Pitt

Andre Drummond of the St. Thomas More School in Connecticut, the man-child of high school basketball, has been keeping his recruitment extremely quiet for someone who can choose to play college basketball anywhere in America. However, at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, he did take a little bit of time to talk about his situation. Drummond told USA Today that he has offers from Connecticut, Duke, Georgetown, Louisville, North Carolina, and Pittsburgh. Because he has gotten, and continues to get, so much attention from coaches all over the country, he has his own way of dealing with the attention.

“I just shut the whole process down and not talk with anybody,” Drummond told USA Today Tuesday at the camp. “I tell them when I’m ready to talk with somebody, I’ll let you know.” Though there have not been any talk of leaders at this point for Drummond, UCONN has to be the early favorite.  He grew up in Middleton, Connecticut, attended a preparatory school in Hartford, and currently plays high school ball in the state. On top of all of this, Drummond has been to numerous University of Connecticut games unofficially, and the fact that UCONN is fresh off becoming the 2011 NCAA Champions is definitely another plus for the program in terms of peaking the interest of the hoops prodigy.

Check out what all the hype is about with Andre Drummond’s junior season mixtape…
