Jordan Burgess to Walk in Brother’s Large Footsteps at VCU
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Benedictine’s Jordan Burgess has committed to play basketball for Virginia Commonwealth University starting in 2012.
The 6-foot-5 wing, and younger brother of 2011 NCAA Tournament star Bradford Burgess, earned second-team all-Metro and second-team all-state independent schools this past winter as a junior.
For the season, he averaged 12.5 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Cadets as they took home the independent schools Division 1 state title. Jordan follows in the footsteps of former North Carolina Tarheel star and current NBA player Ed Davis and his older brother, as recent division one recruits coming out of Benedictine High School in Richmond.
