Walter Pitchford Granted Release

Depaul commit Walter Pitchford was denied by the NCAA of his release of the NLI he signed back in November of 2009. Pitchford wants release because he committed to DePaul under coach Jerry Wainwright, who was fired and replaced by coach Oliver Purnell.
His father Walter Sr, who talked the AD at Depaul [Jean Lenti Ponsetto] and she said, ‘We want to release him, but we want to recruit someone to take his place at the same time.” After talking saying that his father the next day Depaul released this statement.
“Walter showed nothing but enthusiasm to attend DePaul University throughout the recruiting process and since he signed the NLI to join the men’s basketball program. At this time, the athletics department does not intend to grant the release, and has notified the NLI Steering Committee as its provisions require.”
And now the NCAA has denied his appeal and Pitchford is still tide to his NLI that he signed.

Coach Oliver Purnell has agreed to let Pitchford go. (That Simple)
